Significant progress has been made on the reconstruction project of the old factory site in the Guangzhou Taikoo Warehouse redevelopment area, also known as Taikoo Warehouse No 1, with an expected completion in the second half of 2025.
It took just three months for the project, which has a total investment of approximately 2 billion yuan ($274.85 million) and a total construction area of about 85,000 square meters, to go from land transfer contract signing to commencement of construction.
Situated at the 100-year-old Taikoo Wharf, a well-known landmark in Guangzhou and a national 3A-level tourist attraction, Taikoo Warehouse No 1 project preserves the history of industrial civilization, witnessing the prosperity of Guangzhou's foreign trade culture and urban transformation.

Building upon the success of the first phase of the Taikoo Warehouse project, the initiative aims to carry out transformations and upgrades in various aspects, further expanding the existing waterfront, port, and foreign elements.
The project is dedicated to becoming a new landmark in the Haizhu West Business Area, integrating historical and cultural heritage with a high-quality commercial experience, providing strong support for the industrial upgrading and development of the Pearl River Estuary and the economic belt along the Pearl River.
