Huangpu biopharmaceutical industry welcomes multiple major collaborations

On Feb 13, 2025 Biomedical Industry High Quaility Development Submit was held in Huangpu district.

During the event, the Biopharmaceutical Industry Development Office of the Guangzhou Development District (GDD) and Huangpu district was established, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of the region's biopharmaceutical industry.

Simultaneously, agreements were signed with Jinan University and Cannano Institute to jointly establish a nanotechnology achievement transformation industrial park, aiming to promote the application of nanotechnology in the field of biopharmaceuticals.

The Guangzhou Nanotechnology Concept Verification Center was also approved for launch, providing comprehensive support from technology verification to commercialization and facilitating the rapid transformation of research results into tangible productivity.

In addition, nine companies signed agreements to set up operations in the main park of Cannano Institute for nanobiomedical research and development. Huangpu ranked 5th in the comprehensive competitiveness ranking of national biopharmaceutical industrial parks in 2024, positioning itself at the forefront of domestic biopharmaceutical industry development.

On the day of the event, representatives from various sectors engaged in discussions on the high-quality development of the biopharmaceutical industry. Wu Hanrong, deputy director of the Scientific and Technological Innovation Bureau of GDD, introduced the district's investment environment.

In the future, Huangpu will continue to support the transformation and industrialization of biopharmaceutical achievements, aiming to establish itself as a hub for biopharmaceutical innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
