On Feb 13, primary schools, secondary schools, and kindergartens in Huangpu district got the new school year off to a lively start.
At the Huangpu Experimental School of the Guangdong Institute of Education Research, Bingo robots sang and danced to welcome students back to school. Teachers and students at Guangzhou Kaiyuan School (Elementary School Division) released koi fish together, symbolizing "carp leaping over the dragon gate". Meanwhile, youth at South China Normal University Affiliated Huangpu Experimental School meticulously painted auspicious snakes on the "Drawing snakes to add blessings" themed display board.
Yulei Kindergarten sounded the drum for the new semester, symbolizing a determined new beginning. The adorable children at Yucheng Kindergarten held red envelopes (lucky money) and crossed the blessing gate to experience traditional cultural activities. Xiangxue Mountain Kindergarten launched a cultural heritage exploration activity where children made traditional handicrafts under the guidance of their teachers.

In addition, the dragon and lion dance teams from Xiangxue Primary School, Liyuan Primary School, Guangzhou High-tech Zone First Primary School, and Yuquan School in Huangpu district all took to the stage. Despite their inexperience, the team members gave vivid performances to the lively rhythm of drums and gongs.
