Huangpu Port economic zone boosts maritime industry growth

The Huangpu Port economic zone is one of the six functional zones in the Guangzhou Development District, covering an area of 56 square kilometers and spanning nine streets. As one of the starting points of the Maritime Silk Road, it has inherited a legacy of 1,000 years, nurturing the shipping industry.

Since 2022, the zone has maintained double-digit year-on-year growth for three consecutive years, with a growth rate exceeding 18 percent in 2024. Currently, nearly 2,500 port and shipping enterprises have taken root in the zone, collectively generating revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.37 billion).

The zone has also driven the growth of the shipping industry by optimizing the shipping industry chain and providing cross-border logistics last-mile services, offering businesses one-stop services.

The BEF Group provides overseas warehousing, fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) services, and other services for cross-border e-commerce, solving challenges such as order and inventory management for businesses and improving efficiency.

Furthermore, the Huangpu Port economic zone has introduced high-end shipping elements, optimized the port and shipping business environment, and attracted more intelligent logistics service enterprises to grow in the zone.
