Huangpu sees 33 enterprises listed

On Dec 19, the Guangzhou Daily Data and Digital Institute (GDI Think Tank) released the "Guangdong Innovation Rankings (2024)", which evaluated enterprises in Guangdong with over 50 inventions. 

It took into consideration the total number of inventions, patent authorization rate, patent globalization, patent influence, and patent growth.

The rankings include the "Guangdong Innovation TOP 100 List (2024)" and the "Guangzhou Enterprise Innovation TOP 100 List (2024)" among others.

In the "Guangzhou Enterprise Innovation TOP 100 List (2024) ", Huangpu district had 33 enterprises listed, more than any other district in the city, followed by Tianhe with 24 and Panyu with 11.

Huangpu enterprises had the highest average number of international patents in the city, at 128, while enterprises listed in Nansha had the highest annual average patent growth rate, at 61.27 percent.

The rankings show that 84 percent of listed enterprises belong to emerging industries, mainly the new-generation information technology industry, new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection industry, and the intelligent equipment and robotics industry. Enterprises in the new-generation information technology industry showcased superior patent quality, with an average patent authorization rate of 40.44 percent.

As a center of scientific and technological innovation, Huangpu has established a cluster of "2+3+N" strategic science and technology innovation platforms, with a high concentration of research institutions, vibrant innovation entities, and the development of high-end talent aggregation, providing full-chain policy services for scientific and technological innovation.
