Together with the Boluodan Temple and the Guangzhou Maritime Museum, it forms the historical and cultural core of "one temple and two museums."
As one of the origins of the Maritime Silk Road, Guangzhou will showcase the important historical role of the ancient Maritime Silk Road in foreign trade through the center, using it to showcase Chinese Maritime Silk Culture.

The center's design integrates the intangible cultural heritage items of Huangpu district, dragon boat head and tail making techniques, and the flowing rhythmic curves of ancient traditional bamboo scroll aesthetics, showcasing the beauty of classic Eastern aesthetics.
The interior design incorporates a variety of cultural symbols, with a double helix texture in the gallery design connecting various spaces. The exhibition hall incorporates cultural elements such as sails and waves and cleverly uses the dragon boat as a cultural symbol, presenting the spirit of innovation and excellence symbolized by the "thousand boats racing" motif.
