The China Drone Racing League is the world's first national drone league and currently the largest drone racing event in China. It is the only national-level professional drone racing event globally. The league consists of nine stations, with Guangzhou being the second station, lasts for four days, and features competitions in an open category, youth category, and women's category.

Drone racing, often dubbed the "F1 of the skies", combines high technology, intense competition, and mass appeal, making it popular among young people. Guangzhou's Huangpu district is developing the low-altitude economy and has hopes that this competition will help propel the development of the low-altitude economic ecosystem, including the entire drone industrial chain, from research and development to manufacturing, operation, and maintenance.

Apart from the professional competitions, the event will feature low-altitude flight experiences, drone flight performances, and a carnival, providing additional activities for attendees to enjoy.
