Huangpu accelerates development with 243 key projects

In 2024, Huangpu district in Guangzhou announced plans to prioritize the advancement of 243 construction projects, with a total investment of 857 billion yuan (134.6 billion). These projects span various domains, including infrastructure, industrial development, ecological and environmental protection, social welfare, and urban renewal.

Aimed at accelerating the cultivation of new productive forces and solidifying the economic recovery momentum, a significant focus is placed on technology infrastructure and industrial development projects, which account for over half of the total number and investment. 

This strategy underscores Huangpu's commitment to basing development on the real economy and driving industrial upgrades through technological innovation. Key initiatives include establishing disruptive technology innovation industrial parks, nanobiological safety centers, and advanced manufacturing projects like new energy vehicle component industrial parks and 3D printing digital manufacturing bases.

Moreover, Huangpu is advancing projects in culture and education, healthcare, housing security, and ecological and environmental protection to enhance the quality of life for residents and improve Huangpu's environmental quality, providing strong support for the high-quality development of Guangzhou and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
