The recent opening of the eastern extension of Guangzhou Metro Line 5 has brought multiple cultural landmarks into the spotlight, including Guangzhou Xingfuli, Nanhai God Temple, and the Guangzhou Maritime Museum, offering citizens a rich historical and cultural experience.

Guangzhou Xingfuli showcases the 800-year history and the beauty of Lingnan's ancient architecture in Wenchong village. The Nanhai God Temple, one of China's four ancient major sea temples, narrates the millennium-old story of the Guangzhou Port. At the same time, the Guangzhou Maritime Museum focuses on the Maritime Silk Road in the Tang and Song dynasties (618-1279), displaying precious historical relics.

This newly opened metro line not only enhances citizens' daily commute but also provides a gateway for exploring Guangzhou's rich cultural heritage, offering an accessible way to discover the city's historical and artistic treasures.
