Huangpu district recently launched the 220 kV (kilo-volt) Qingzhuang Substation in the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC). In 2023, Huangpu commissioned six substations, setting a new record for the most substations commissioned in a single district in Guangzhou within a year.
These newly built substations will support surrounding strategic emerging industries, such as information technology and biomedicine. The 500 kV Kebei Station has become the nation's first near-zero energy consumption substation, and the 110 kV Meiyi Station is Guangzhou's first cost-consultation pilot project. Additionally, Huangpu has transformed 1,669 intelligent electric rooms, ranking first in Guangzhou.
Looking ahead, Huangpu will continue optimizing its power grid construction and management to support high-quality regional development.
