Yuzhu Tunnel in Huangpu district makes progress

The Yuzhu Tunnel project in Huangpu district has recently made new progress. Construction on the project began in March this year and it is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in December 2026.

Running through Haizhu, Tianhe, and Huangpu districts in Guangzhou, the Yuzhu Tunnel mainly connects Guangzhou Science City's core area, Guangzhou Financial City's core area, and Yuzhu's core area with the city's science and technology innovation belts, such as Guangzhou International Innovation City. This will promote the integrated development of both sides of the Pearl River.

After the Yuzhu Tunnel opens to the public, the drive from Huangpu's Lingang Economic Zone to Pazhou East Area will be greatly shortened, and will only take 5 minutes.

This is a key project in Guangzhou and it will provide a convenient travel passage for Guangzhou citizens.
