Russian expert promotes intl innovation in Guangzhou's Huangpu

On Nov 18, People's Daily reported the story of Anna Dosenko, a Russian woman who has settled in Guangzhou and now works as a project manager at the China-Ukraine (Huangpu) International Innovation Research Institute.

Three years ago, Dosenko came to China with her husband and made the city her home. "After visiting many cities, I finally settled in Guangzhou, a warm and humid city that fulfilled my childhood longing for my ideal place to live," she said. In addition to the pleasant climate, she was impressed by the speed of development and innovation in this southern Chinese metropolis. "There are many science and technology parks in Huangpu district, where I am based, so there are many innovative companies and incubators here," she said.

Dosenko said Guangzhou provides fertile soil for the development of innovative industries. "Here I can not only find rapidly growing innovative enterprises and cutting-edge research institutions but also see China's rural revitalization and feel the vitality of development," she said.

At the China-Ukraine (Huangpu) International Innovation Research Institute, Dosenko is responsible for the promotion and implementation of technologies in the fields of new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection, and intelligent equipment manufacturing for countries like Russia and Belarus in South China.

In the future, Dosenko hopes to create a joint Russian-Chinese incubator to support academic exchanges and educational programs. She also hopes this will help promote the realization of more innovative projects based on international cooperation, attract larger numbers of foreign experts and outstanding young talents to work in China and make a greater contribution to promoting further collaboration between Chinese and foreign enterprises.
