China-Singapore Biomedical Innovation Valley starts trial operation in CSGKC

Updated : 2022-11-22

China-Singapore Biomedical Innovation Valley, the first shared biomedical laboratory in the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC), was recently inaugurated in the CSGKC's Ascendas Park.

The valley is a one-stop biomedical laboratory platform jointly built by CapitaLand, a diversified real estate group headquartered in Singapore, and CSGKC, aiming to create a new research space and provide a more professional service platform for biomedical enterprises in the CSGKC.

It will help accelerate the biomedical industrialization process of the Knowledge City Ascendas-Park, contribute to scientific and technological achievements of the enterprises based there, and promote the high-quality development of the park.

The valley aims to become the first stop for biopharmaceutical enterprises to settle in the CSGKC. It will reduce the investment costs of small and medium-sized biopharmaceutical enterprises and improve the efficiency and professionalism of medical research and development.

The first phase of the project spans 2,400 square meters and is located on the 3rd floor of Building E inside the park, which is equipped with independent laboratories, as well as cell rooms and experimental facilities, including centrifuges and water purifiers. This not only reduces the R&D costs of enterprises, but also provides enterprises with marketing, capital matchmaking, and other services. It also creates a comprehensive, one-stop platform for international facilities and enterprise services.
