Huangpu promotes GBA's digital economy development

The Innovation and Development Conference of the Southern China Data Service Alliance (SCDSA) was held in Guangzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone on June 18.

Scholars, experts, officials, and entrepreneurs gathered to discuss strategies to promote the development of the big data industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as to boost digital economy development in China.

The conference witnessed the establishment of the National Big Data Comprehensive Pilot Zone in the Greater Bay Area. SCDSA was initiated by 11 enterprises, institutions, and social organizations from the big data industry as part of the efforts to drive the development of the pilot zone.

A document titled "the Consensus on Promoting the Development of the Data Factor Market" was issued by SCDSA, through which the initiators hope to build a long-term mechanism for data integration in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, bolstering the high-quality growth of the area's digital economy.

All of the SCDSA members are institutions with distinctive advantages in the big data industry. They undertake different tasks in the industrial chain, involving fields like policy making, production, learning, research, finance, service, and application.

SCDSA will perform its duty by making circulation rules for data elements and regularizing the data element market, thus facilitating the development of the data market and the regional economy.

The SCDSA expert committee was also founded at the conference to provide professional advice for the organization, as well as to assist it in research and project promotion. Six industry expert representatives were awarded letters of appointment.
