Guangzhou Art School starts construction in Huangpu

Huangpu district and the Guangzhou education bureau signed an agreement to co-build Guangzhou Art School at Huangpu International Conference Center on June 18. The start of the school's construction was also announced at the event.

Guangzhou Art School is located in the Huangpu Port area of Huangpu district, an area projected to be the arts and humanities education center of the district due to its proximity to many arts and humanities resources like the Temple of South China Sea God and Guangzhou Maritime Museum. In addition, many more cultural projects are either under construction or planning, making this area an ideal place to learn for the students of this school.

Covering an area of about 51,000 square meters, the school will open 54 classes. It will provide first-class facilities and teaching resources to build itself into a new benchmark for art schools nationwide. Majors, including art (painting, design), calligraphy, music, dance, as well as media, will be available to choose from. 

As the only art school directly administered by the Guangzhou education bureau, the school is expected to elevate the art education quality of the city to a new level, as well as promote the development of art education in the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the whole country.
