Since the Yuzhu area management committee of the Guangzhou artificial intelligence and digital economy pilot zone was launched in April 2021, it has accelerated its development pace, particularly focusing on digital economy development and making contributions to building a digital Huangpu.

The Yuzhu area has integrated into the port economic zone of Guangzhou Development District, a national economic and technological development zone. A total of 62 projects have started construction here, and the construction of the first comprehensive university in Huangpu has been accelerated.

The area focuses on the headquarters economy, high-end commerce, modern shipping services, cross-border e-commerce, and digital economy industries, gathering 850 enterprises above designated size and 13 scientific research institutions.

With Hulin Road as the axis, a 10-mile digital economy industrial corridor will be built, while 11 key industrial parks, such as China Software CBD, China National Innovation Center for Intelligent Networking, and China Game Software Valley, will be built.

The 250-meter-high Guangzhou International Port and Shipping Center is a new landmark in the Yuzhu area, as well as the tallest building in Huangpu.

In 2022, the Yuzhu area is aiming to reach new goals, such as possessing over 1,000 enterprises above designated size, increasing the number of digital economy core enterprises by more than 50 percent, and increasing revenue by more than 60 percent.
