Huangpu marathon lauds new title from World Athletics

The Guangzhou Huangpu Marathon has been rated as a World Athletics Elite Label race by World Athletics, local media outlets reported on May 1.

The new title has been considered as a recognition of the event's overall management and influence.

Founded in 2017, the Guangzhou Huangpu Marathon is the city's first full marathon at the district level in Guangzhou. Number of participants of the event has continued to increase over the past five years thanks to the event's high-level organizing and service standards.
