People try the unmanned luncheon car.
Six unmanned luncheon cars have started licensed operation around Guangzhou International Bio Island in Huangpu district, local media outlets reported on April 8.
These vehicles have been independently researched and developed by Neolix, a global pioneer in providing autonomous driving solutions. They are all equipped with L4 autonomous driving technologies, allowing them to conduct flexible driving, avoiding obstacles and other vehicles.
They are able to drive 100 kilometers with one single charge, which will meet the daily normal operation around Guangzhou International Bio Island.
People in need only need to put up their hands to stop the vehicle when seeing it and scan the quick response code on the vehicle to pick the food they want. After paying for the food by scanning the QR code, the windows will open for people to get their order.
The licenses issued by the Huangpu market regulation bureau for these smart vehicles were the first of their kind in China for unmanned luncheon cars, marking the first step forward for the operation of such vehicles.
More vehicles of this kind are expected to be put into operation in Huangpu district based on how these six vehicles operate and public demand, striving to create a more convenient and safe consumer environment.
