CSGKC to reach Shenzhen, HK with new rail transit

The south section of the Xintang-Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Terminal 2-Guangzhou North Railway Station project of Pearl River Delta Intercity Rail Transit completed its main structure construction on March 25, with all box girders erected.

The section starts from Xintang to Baiyun Airport, spanning 57.4 kilometers and 10 stations. Zhuliao Station on the line is connected with Guangzhou Metro Line 14, with passengers able to transit to the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) branch of Metro Line 14 at Matouzhuang Station and to Guangzhou Metro Line 21 at Zhenlong Station.

It is expected that the south section will finish construction in 2022. Upon completion, the travel time between CSGKC to Baiyun Airport will be shortened to less than 20 minutes, while the travel time between CSGKC to Shenzhen and Hong Kong will be around 40 minutes.
