Huangpu service station promotes green energy supply

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's first comprehensive energy service station that offers petroleum and hydrogen refueling, charging and photovoltaic power generation functions has recently come into operation in Guangzhou's Huangpu district.

The 4,166-square-meter Third Dongming Road Comprehensive Energy Service Station is located on No 398 Kaitai Avenue, and is jointly operated by the China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation's Guangdong branch and Hengyun Enterprises.

The service station has two hydrogen dispensers, which are capable of supplying 500 kilograms of hydrogen to 60 fuel cell vehicles daily. It adopts domestically leading hydrogen compressors with precooling devices to shorten hydrogen refueling time. The use of hydrogen energy is expected to cut carbon emissions by 2,500 metric tons annually compared with petrochemical energy.

The energy service station also has two 240-kilowatt direct-current charging piles, which can charge four electric vehicles at the same time.

The service station is equipped with more than 100 sq m of distributed photovoltaic power generation devices. They are able to satisfy the electricity demand for the operation of the service station and save 11,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year.
