Application launched for talent settling-in allowances

Applications for settling-in allowances for newly-introduced or cultivated Prominent, Excellent and Elite talents in Guangzhou's Huangpu district was launched today, with a deadline of March 31.

Eligible Prominent, Excellent and Elite talents will receive a household allowance of 5 million yuan ($768,500), 3 million yuan and 2 million yuan respectively. Nobel Prize winners can enjoy an allowance of 10 million yuan or a talent villa, and academicians will receive an allowance of 8 million yuan or a talent villa. The allowance will be issued over a five year period.
