Fushan Circular Economy Industrial Park

Updated : 2020-11-17

A model for industrial tourism, Fushan Circular Economy Industrial Park was named a national 3A-level scenic spot in 2020. It covers 1,604 mu (hectares) in Fushan village, Xinlong town, Guangzhou's Huangpu district, and is open to the public for free.

The circular economy industrial park tops the country in the scale and variety of garbage it can process. It is capable of disposing 12,600 tons of household waste daily and 78,000 tons of hazardous waste annually.

The in-house environmental protection, science, and education center of Guangzhou Third Resources Thermal Power Plant offers a bevy of exhibits and interactive equipment. Visitors will be able to see the entire process of generating electricity through refuse incineration.

Games, experiments, tailored courses, and Q&A quizzes are available for children to learn about environment protection and garbage sorting in a fun way.

It is worth noting that a 400-square-meter sightseeing platform at the 290-meter giant smokestack commands a dominant view of the industrial park and can offer catering services for up to 50 visitors.
