A Chinese pastry contest for Masters of Cantonese Cuisine was held on Sept 22, serving as the start of the 12th Technical Expert Competition of Huangpu District.
Nineteen participants showed off their skills in the making of three Chinese pastries, including the designated walnut buns with lotus seed paste, one fried or baked pastry, and one pastry with a salty filling. The jury scored their works in terms of their appearance, texture, taste, color, and nutritional content.
