Guangzhou Experimental High School, a new high school that will be built in Guangzhou's Huangpu district, has an overall investment of more than 1.5 billion yuan ($214.71 million).
Located in the southern area of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC), the project covers a total area of 103,000 square meters. It is expected to open 30 classes for 1,500 middle school students and 60 classes for 3,000 high school students.
The school is aiming to become a demonstration high school at both the national and municipal levels.
The whole construction of the school will fully apply the standards for the Green Building Evaluation Label or Three-Star Rating System, which evaluating projects based on six categories, including land, energy, water and material efficiency, making it the only one of its kind in Guangzhou.
The project will also incorporate of sponge city, ultra-low energy consumption building, and smart campus features.
In addition, elements of traditional Lingnan gardens will be integrated into the school's landscape design to create a beautiful campus environment.
