Recommended public libraries in Huangpu district

Huangpu district saw 3.22 million visitors to local public libraries in Guangzhou in 2019, the highest in the province and exceeding three million for the first time, Guangzhou"s annual report noted April 21 as it said the district would develop into a "city for libraries".

Huangpu district has accelerated its public construction, finishing nine characteristics-themed libraries and renovation for three libraries.

At present, the district has opened 32 public libraries and 12 service stations.

Here are several recommended public libraries in Huangpu district.

Najin Library

Najin Library is the first in Huangpu district to be paperless as it uses electronic ink screen readers to provide a brand-new reading experience for visitors when viewing e-books and e-newspapers.

Yuyuan Library

Yuyuan Library is a themed library featuring services spanning a children's stage play, intellectual property and internet platforms. It is expected to become a complex for the services of children's culture.

Xiangxue Library for picture books at Luogang Street

The library was the earliest library set up in Huangpu's Luogang area and has been serving local readers for more than 20 years.

It was renovated and reopened to the public for the last Children's Day on June 1, becoming a library specializing in picture books and serving the young readers.

Dasha Street Library

Dasha Street Library, which was renovated from an ancient shrine, is filled with the charm of traditional Chinese architecture.
