GDD's online platform simplifies process for opening a company

Guangzhou Development District (GDD) has opened an online platform (https://air.scjgj.gz.gov.cn/) for starting up a business in the district on March 16, aiming to further improve the local business environment.

Applicants can use the online website or WeChat mini program to finish various processes, such as applying for a business license, employment and insurance registration, housing provident fund deposit registration, as well as bank account reservation, providing more convenience to users as people don't have to submit the same data in different systems.

The online platform is able to handle businesses of limited liability companies, joint stock limited companies, partnership enterprises, and sole proprietorship enterprises.

It is expected the new platform can shorten the whole process of opening a company in GDD from more than four days to as quickly as half a day.

In addition, applicants that finish all processes on the platform can receive a free gift package that includes materials like a paper business license, seals, and a tax Ukey for issuing VAT invoices, saving about 300 yuan ($42.29) for new companies.
