Chinese-Jamaican-American reconnects with ancestral roots, enhances Friendship City ties

Paula Williams Madison, a Chinese-Jamaican-American, attended a gala dinner for Asian Heritage Month in Guangzhou on May 27, where she reunited with her relatives and celebrated the success of her heritage journey.

After researching her maternal family history, Madison was able to reach out and reconnect with her Hakka relatives residing in Shenzhen.

This event showcases the significance of the Friendship City relationship between Guangzhou and Los Angeles. It fosters long-standing exchanges and collaborations that deepen the friendship between the people of China and the United States. 

The enduring friendship between Guangdong and California provides ample opportunities for economic, educational, and technological cooperation between the two regions.
