Festive symbols carry new year cheer to ASEAN Headquarters

A creative cultural short film delivers Chinese New Year greetings from China to the ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia, uniting the two sides in a festive celebration.

As the guardian of tradition, the Chinese Lion joins the "Divine Steed" – symbol of the 2026 New Year – as it takes flight from the Great Wall's beacon towers. In just 90 seconds, they journey south across mountains and seas, serving as messengers to deliver warm New Year wishes to every ASEAN nation and finally to the ASEAN Headquarters.

Rooted in China's rich festive culture, the production blends traditional symbols with modern visual storytelling. It embodies the spirit of reunion, harmony, and new beginnings, values shared by both China and ASEAN.
