Guangxi releases 8 national tourism scenic routes

The Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region recently issued a general plan for national tourism scenic routes around Guangxi.

According to the plan, Guangxi will build eight national tourism scenic routes with a total mileage of about 5,400 kilometers based on the original characteristic tourist routes, namely the border scenic route, coastal scenic route, Guangdong-Guangxi scenic route, Hunan-Guangxi scenic route, Guizhou-Guangxi scenic route, Yunnan-Guangxi scenic route, Xijiang River scenic route, and Bagui scenic route.

The following are two tourist scenic roads passing through Hechi.

1. Guizhou-Guangxi scenic route

Guizhou and Guangxi provinces are home many ethnic minorities and rich ethnic culture such as Yao culture, Zhuang culture, Miao culture, and Dong culture. Various ethnic villages and ethnic festivals still retain their traditional flavors, attracting many tourists.

The scenic route runs from east to west through 10 counties, namely Sanjiang Dong autonomous county, Rongshui Miao autonomous county, Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, Nandan county, Tian'e county, Leye county, Lingyun county, Tianlin county, Longling various nationalities autonomous county, and Xilin county.

The route starts from Chengyang Bazhai Scenic Area and includes Huanjiang Mulun Karst Eco-tourism Scenic Spot, Rongshui Yuanbao Mountain, Nandan Geyasigu Scenic Area, Danlu Mountain Scenic Area, Dongtian Liquor Culture Scenic Spot, Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park, Leye Dashiwei Tiankeng Scenic Spot, and Wanfeng Lake. It also includes the surrounding traditional villages, ethnic minority villages and rural tourist spots.

2. Xijiang River scenic route

The Xijiang River in Guangxi is also known as the Hongshui River. The scenic route runs from west to east through 17 counties, cities, and districts, namely Tian’e county, Donglan county, Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, Dahua Yao autonomous county, Longling various nationalities autonomous county, Mashan county, Xincheng county, Heshan city, Xingbin district, Wuxuan county, Guiping city, Pingnan county, Teng county, Cangwu county, Longwei district, Changzhou district, and Wanxiu district, with a total length of 758 km.

The route connects Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park, Hongshui River First Bay Scenic Spot, Dahua Qibainong National Geopark, Sandaowan International Resort, Baiya Grand Canyon, Longtan National Forest Park, Shibiao Mountain Scenic Resort, Wuzhou Qilou Building and Longu Temple Scenic Spot. It also includes the surrounding traditional villages, ethnic minority villages and rural tourist spots.
