1st group of pastoral complexes in Hechi takes shape
To date, the construction of the first group of pastoral complexes in Hechi has taken shape, with a planned investment of 5.27 billion yuan ($827 million), of which 4.28 billion yuan has been invested in the construction of pilot projects, with the investment completion rate of 81.15 percent.
Among them, Nandan Rice Fields and Flower Sea Pastoral Complex was included as an autonomous region-level pilot project in 2021, becoming the only autonomous region-level pastoral complex in Hechi.
The Nandan Baping village's rice industry is the leading industry of the pastoral complex. The output value of Baping rice exceeded 80 million yuan last year, helping more than 5,000 farmer households increase their average income by 1,000 yuan. In addition, Nandan county integrates Baping terraced fields, beautiful rural features, and art to promote the development of its leisure agriculture and rural tourism industries, attracting nearly 300,000 visitors.

The Bama Shouyuan Pastoral Complex has 1,500 mu (100 hectares) of vegetable bases in Baima village and Lagao village, Zhuan town. The 15,000 metric tons of green organic vegetables produced by the base each year are popular in coastal areas.
By vigorously promoting high-standard farmland construction and leisure agriculture development, the Shouyuan Pastoral Complex Project has driven agricultural and economic development in Bama Yao autonomous county.
