Scenic spots that merit attention in Nandan

Hechi's Nandan county was recently honored as Guangxi's "summer tourist destination", prompting a surge of interest from people considering traveling there.

Nandan has a pleasant climate, with an average annual temperature of 17.4 C. There are three 4A-level scenic spots and three 3A-level scenic spots, which include beautiful scenery and rich cultural resources. Here are some recommended places to visit and things to experience in Nandan!

Part 1 Baikuyao culture

Nandan is the hometown of the Baikuyao ethnic group. Of the 45,000 Baikuyao in the world, 42,000 live in Nandan. Baikuyao culture is primitive and mysterious, and has been described as a "living fossil of human civilization" by UNESCO.

Part 2 Danlu Mountain Scenic Spot

Danlu Mountain is a 4A scenic spot which includes the largest and best-preserved Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) "alchemy site" in China. Tourists can traverse the longest glass walkway in China, and experience traditional local culture.

Part 3 Spa health care

Nandan hot spring water, extracted from 1,650 meters underground, is 60 C in temperature, is packed with rich minerals, and has outstanding health benefits. The pools are set in unique houses, elegant and private. Because of the cool climate in Nandan, the hot springs are suitable for use all year round.

Part 4 Charming rural scenery

Nandan Baping terraced fields and the Yunshui Valley camellia plantation area are important parts of the health industry in Nandan. The pastoral scenery is beautiful and makes people feel relaxed and happy.

Part 5 Danquan Liquor Culture Scenic Area

Danquan Liquor Culture Scenic Area is also a 4A-level scenic spot. There are 60,000 metric tons of Danquan liquor in the cave. It is the largest wine storage cave in the world and was included in the Guinness World Records. Last year, Danquan liquor's sales reached 1 billion yuan ($154.8 million). Many tourists who have seen the cave instantly become fans of Danquan liquor.
