Nandan's tourist revenue up 37% in Q1
Nandan county of Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region received 1.07 million tourists in the first quarter this year, up by 32.08 percent year-on-year. Total tourism revenue rose by 37 percent to 1.26 billion yuan ($198 million), according to the regional tourism bureau on May 21.
The county has seen steady growth and sound momentum in the tourism industry thanks to the efforts in developing characteristic tourism and promoting all-for-one tourism.
The conception of all-for-one tourism was mentioned in the 2017 Government Work Report which suggests the integration of resources of various areas and industries to improve tourism competitiveness and service quality.
The county has completed a fixed asset investment of 96 million yuan for the construction of tourist projects this year, including the third-stage project of Geyasi Valley China Baikuyao Garden and Danlu Mountain scenic area.
Nandan also joined hands with Libo county of Guizhou province by pooling their advantageous resources to boost market development, travel consultation services and tourist goods exchanges.
A five-billion-yuan investment has been devoted to build a Danquan characteristic town. The town covers a construction area of 3.16 square kilometers and will be built to the standards of a 5A-level tourist attraction.
