Since 2019, the company has invested more than 10 million yuan ($1.45 million) into scientific research to promote the construction of an intelligent cargo tallying system while also constantly improving its port technology.
Its current intelligent container inspection cargo system was put into use at the end of 2021, and is based on AI computer identification technology. The coverage rate of this system in the Qinzhou, Beihai and Fangchenggang port areas is over 80 percent, among which the coverage rate in the Qinzhou Port area of the Guangxi FTZ is over 90 percent. Through this system, personnel can complete tallying work remotely from the tallying center using only cameras, video surveillance and an intelligent identification system.

After tallying, the electronic tally sheet system, which began operation in July, 2022, then produces electronic visas for the container cargo. This has significantly improved the port's efficiency.
The automatic inspection system for unqualified container goods involves collecting videos and analyzing the cargo contents with video analysis technology. This system can also oversee all loading and unloading processes, so as to ensure that there is no container or goods damage, and to avoid missed inspections. Construction of the system began in July 2022 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
