With the effective implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the accelerated construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, there are now more opportunities for cooperation development between the "China-Malaysia Twin Parks".

The "China-Malaysia Twin Parks" project refers to China and Malaysia's construction of the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park (CMQIP) and the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) in their respective countries.

By 2022, the total development area of CMQIP reached 30 square kilometers, and more than 200 projects have been signed to settle there. CMQIP has achieved a total industrial output value of 57.5 billion yuan ($8.3 billion), a total investment of 27.55 billion yuan in fixed assets, and a total agreed investment of 260 billion yuan.

Qinzhou (Guangxi) and Kuantan (Malaysia) have also become international sister cities. Since 2016, the two cities have been cooperating on a variety of events and activities.

Malaysia is rich in bird's nest resources. The "China-Malaysia Twin Parks" has promoted the cooperative development of the bird's nest industry between the two countries. "This year, our company will expand the import trade scale of Malaysia's bird's nest by expanding online and offline sales channels to enhance product awareness," said Pei Du, an assistant general manager of the Guangxi Ma Jinguyan biotechnology company.

In 2014, Qinzhou Port and Kuantan Port became sister ports, and direct international container liners between the two ports were launched. This has greatly reduced the transportation time. At present, nine Malaysian liner routes have opened at Qinzhou Port, with more than seven sailings per week. The cargo is mainly bird's nest products, durians, tin ore, and recycled aluminum.
