Phase III of the State Development Investment Corp (SDIC) power plant began installing its generators on March 15.

The first installed generator weighs a net of 290 metric tons, has a length of 10.35 meters, a width of 4.32 meters, and a height of 4.66 meters. Installing the first generator requires high precision, and is key to the installation of all generators. It was installed in only half a day.

Phase III of the SDIC Qinzhou power plant has the largest installed capacity of any thermal power plant in Guangxi. It will go on to provide electricity and heat to enterprises in the Qinzhou Port area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ). The project has a total installed capacity of 3.26 million kilowatts, with a total power generation of 14.12 billion kilowatt-hours, and an annual output value of 6.55 billion yuan ($950 million).
