In recent years, the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) has issued several preferential policies to attract more companies.

More than 86,000 enterprises have settled in the Guangxi FTZ, which is 23 times the number of enterprises before the zone's establishment. Despite its small area when compared with the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the Guangxi FTZ accounted for more than 40 percent of the total utilized foreign capital and foreign trade imports and exports in the region in 2022.

The Guangxi FTZ has introduced innovative policies to accelerate high-quality development. These policies focus on tax incentives, awards, and subsidies that will attract more enterprises.

If the company sets up its headquarters in Guangxi FTZ, it can enjoy a reward of up to 100 million yuan ($145,599). If a company has been established in the zone for less than five years, and its annual income is from 1 to 5 million yuan, then it can enjoy a reward of 60 percent of its profit back. If the company's annual income is more than 5 million yuan, it will get 70 percent of its profit back.

This year, Guangxi will make every effort to promote investment through its open platforms, and speed up the building of an open cooperation platform facing ASEAN. It will also further develop itself into an important node hub for the dual circulation of domestic and foreign markets.

The Guangxi FTZ strives to ensure that the actual use of foreign capital accounts for more than 40 percent of the region's total. It will also strive to reach more than 30 percent of the region's total economic and technological development zones, and 10 percent of the region's high-tech development zones. This will be done so that the Guangxi FTZ can form a cluster of foreign investment projects.
