The Chongzuo area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) has recently been promoting high-quality cross-border industrial cooperation.

The Chongzuo area of the Guangxi FTZ covers 15 square kilometers, and has two international ports, two frontier trade areas, as well as six logistics and trade channels connecting to Vietnam. It possesses the most ports and channels among all 66 free trade zones in China.

The Chongzuo area of the Guangxi FTZ is focused on building a core market operation area for the dual circulation of domestic and foreign markets, as well as an international cooperation platform for cross-border industries.

Over the past three years, the Chongzuo area of the Guangxi FTZ has accelerated its industrial convergence development and has promoted port transformation and upgrading.

A total of 85 national pilot tasks that involve the Chongzuo area of the Guangxi FTZ have been implemented. Chongzuo's seven institutional innovation cases have been incorporated into the autonomous region-level institutional innovation achievements plans.

The Chongzuo area of the Guangxi FTZ has started 33 projects, and has finished the construction of seven projects with a total investment of 12.35 billion yuan ($1.77 billion). Of the total investment, 4.48 billion yuan has been completed.

The area strives to become a demonstration zone for cross-border industrial cooperation, a gateway for the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, as well as a new hub for opening-up and development.
