Qinzhou's trade with RCEP member countries reaches 11.74b yuan in 2022
In 2022, Qinzhou's imports and exports with Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) member countries reached 11.74 billion yuan ($1.69 billion), up 29.5 percent year on year.
Qinzhou has issued 87 RCEP certificates of origin, which are worth more than 50 million yuan.
"After the implementation of the RCEP, the Qinzhou Port administration committee and Qinzhou Customs in the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) guided our company to become the first RCEP-approved exporter in the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone. Now, we can issue declarations of origin, which makes customs clearance more efficient, lowers trade costs, and increases our competitiveness in foreign trade," said Zhou Ju, manager of Guangxi Jingui Pulp and Paper.
In 2022, the value of the company's exports to RCEP member countries increased by 2.5 times year-on-year. The export value of Qinzhou's paper products was 2.67 billion yuan, up 381.2 percent from the previous year.
Since the implementation of the RCEP, Qinzhou Customs has optimized services and guided enterprises to choose preferential trade agreements in order to gain more profits.
