The Information Office of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region held a press conference on Feb 14 on their interpretation of the Program for Further Deepening the Reform and Opening-up of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ).

The program aims to make the Guangxi FTZ an area that serves domestic and international dual-circulation markets. It focuses on eight components, including investment, trade, cross-border capital, transportation, factor resources, passenger flow, data flow, and institutional openness.

In 2023, the three areas of the Guangxi FTZ and relevant supporting teams will formulate detailed work promotion measures around the objectives and tasks of the program, as well as make coordinated arrangements for implementation.

In the future, the Guangxi FTZ will become a core demonstration area for institutional innovation, a leading area for the open economy, a cluster for iconic projects, and an area with an optimized business environment.
