Qinzhou Port sees peak production
As an important window for opening up China's southwest to the outside world, the Beibu Gulf Port has achieved full coverage of major ASEAN ports. Located in the heart of the Beibu Gulf, Qinzhou Port has been strengthening its access and industry over the years, drivingthe regional economy forward.
With the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the increasing demand for the import and export of goods from areas along the trade corridor and the improved infrastructure of the Qinzhou Port, businesses in the southwestern hinterland and near the port have grown tremendously.
From January to November 2022, the value of imports and exports along the trade corridor via Qinzhou Port reached 100.55 billion yuan ($14.83 billion), up 98.9 percent year-on-year.
The main imported commodities are crude oil, soybeans, manganese ore, coal and pulp. The main export commodities are gasoline, aviation kerosene, food-grade phosphoric acid and ivory board.
