Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park gains national recognition
Recently, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association (CPCIA) named Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park in the 2022 list of national green chemical industrial parks.
Among the 22 national green chemical industrial parks on the list, Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park is the first national green chemical industrial park in western China. It has been ranked among the top 30 chemical parks in China for 10 consecutive years and ranked 19th in China in 2022.
In 2022, the industrial output value of Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park reached 94 billion yuan ($14 billion), an increase of about 50 percent, or 30 billion yuan from the previous year. It completed industrial investment of more than 15 billion yuan, while tax revenue from the park exceeded 11 billion yuan for the first time.
In recent years, Qinzhou's 300,000-metric-ton petroleum wharf has been operating regularly. Wharf 19 in the Jingujiang operating area has been completed and put into operation. Qinzhou power plant, part of the State Development & Investment Corporation (SDIC), has completed its heat supply transformation of 3.26 million kilowatts.
The park has built the first 200,000-ton carbon dioxide comprehensive utilization project in Guangxi, using waste gas from petrochemical projects to produce food-grade carbon dioxide. It also has introduced the Changde integrated resource utilization project.
In December 2022, Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park was listed in the fifth batch of national smart chemical industrial parks. It will become an important support for the improvement of the park's management level and the high-quality development of the industry.
