From January to March, 1,736 sea-rail intermodal trains were completed in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, a year-on-year increase of 31 percent.

Since the beginning of this year, major port cities such as Baise, Fangchenggang and Qinzhou in Guangxi have experienced COVID-19 outbreaks one after another, posing major challenges to economic development. The construction headquarters of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has introduced measures to meet those challenges head-on.

In the first quarter of this year, the "United Arab Emirates (UAE)-Qinzhou-Lanzhou" imported automobile sea-rail combined transport line opened, seven railway service stations including Zaojiaopu, North Mianyang, and Taiyang village were built, and foreign trade in products such as raw sugar, starch, and wood was developed. At present, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor serves 14 provinces, 50 cities and 99 stations across the country.
