Construction has been progressing on Phase III of the State Development Investment Corp (SDIC) power plant project in Qinzhou. As of March 21, the project has completed an investment of 1.28 billion yuan ($200.88 million), accounting for 11.6 percent of its total investment of 11.1 billion yuan.

During the 89 days of the project's progress, 180,000 yuan in special funds has been invested for the preparation of disinfectant water, masks, COVID-19 epidemic prevention equipment, and nucleic acid testing to ensure that the project progresses smoothly. "Everyone is healthy and the project construction can proceed normally," said Wang Yang, deputy chief engineer of the project.

Recently, the weather conditions have been good and suitable for construction. At present, the project has completed 10 percent of its civil works.
