Annual cargo throughput of Qinzhou Port exceeds 100 million tons
On Nov 29, the annual cargo throughput of Qinzhou Port in Beibu Gulf exceeded 100 million metric tons, 30 days earlier than last year, with the container throughput exceeding 4.6 million TEUs, making it the second port area to have its throughput reach 100 million tons ahead of schedule, after Fangcheng Port.
Since the start of this year, Qinzhou Port has been diversifying its imports through the cold chain import of fruits and meat, bringing in more than 1 million tons of bulk cargo.
Qinzhou Port opened up 11 new container routes from January to November. Inland trade routes now cover most major domestic coastal ports, and foreign trade routes cover major ports in Southeast and Northeast Asia.
The port provides sea-rail combined transport services to enhance the competitiveness of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
