The tanker COSDIGNITY LAKE, carrying 138,700 tons of crude oil, berthed at the 300,000-tonne crude oil wharf at Qinzhou Port in south China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Dec 3. It is the first tanker to berth at the terminal since Nov 5 as well as the first since renovations were completed on the wharf.

The Hong Kong-based COSDIGNITY LAKE is operated by COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation and has a length of 333 meters, width of 60 m, height of 30 m, and a maximum deadweight of 308,084.7 metric tons.

The berthing is a testament to the way the 300,000-tonne crude oil wharf at Qinzhou Port has adapted to the berthing and unloading needs of various types of oil tankers in the domestic market.

Six tugboats and three pilots helped the tanker berth, which took just an hour and 46 minutes, 53 minutes faster than the NEW WEALTH tanker, which took 2 hours and 39 minutes.

In less than a month, the 300,000-tonne crude oil wharf at Qinzhou Port berthed two 300,000-ton oil tankers, reflecting the high quality of its equipment and facilities.

With the improvement of the terminal facilities, the terminal is able to facilitate the unloading of 100,000 to 150,000 tons of oil and provide a higher quality safety guarantee for tankers.
