Since China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) began operating, it has carried out system innovations to accelerate the transformation of government functions,  investment reform, trade transformation and upgrading, improving customs clearance facilitation, finance opening up innovation. The Guangxi government wants to replicate and promote the institutional innovation results of Guangxi FTZ.

Guangxi FTZ has a lot of experience with institutional innovation. It has accelerated the transformation of government functions such as cross-provincial government services, simplified the industrial comprehensive license application process and improved the port engineering acceptance model.

It deepened one foreign investment reform, one universal intermodal mechanism, three reforms of trade transformation and upgrading and customs clearance facilitation innovation and four financial open innovations including cross-border renminbi flow facilitation reforms and multiple combined transportation in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor of Guangxi.

Guangxi FTZ has seen 21 strong results in institutional innovation, such as the "1＋N" innovative model for promoting intangible cultural heritage as well as the cross-border e-commerce talent training model for ASEAN.

The Guangxi government will strengthen organization and leadership, and increase implementation efforts to ensure the replication and promotion of institutional innovation results of Guangxi FTZ. It will hold policy briefings, issue operational guidelines, and carry out training to promote the results of Guangxi FTZ. It will also strengthen supervision and inspection of the replication and promotion work.
