The Pingxiang integrated bonded zone in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has gained momentum in improving port customs clearance facilitation and optimizing its business environment, local media outlets reported on Nov 11.

The import and export value of goods at the Youyiguan border gate in Pingxiang stood at 279.44 billion yuan ($43.73 billion) in the first 10 months of 2021, which is a year-on-year increase of 48.61 percent. The number of inbound and outbound trucks reached 353,400, an increase of 26.41 percent and the import and export cargo volume climbed 40.39 percent to 3.74 million metric tons.

Pingxiang integrated bonded zone is connected with Vietnam via Youyiguan border gate. In the first three quarters, a total of 559 China-Europe freight trains operated at Pingxiang, which is an increase of 104 percent year on year.

Youyiguan border gate developed a customs clearance queuing app in February to shorten its three to five days of processing time to less than three days. 

In the first half of 2021, the clearance time of imports and exports at the Youyiguan border gate was 2.35 hours and 0.12 hours, and the export clearance time was reduced by 80.23 percent year on year.
