The Nanning area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) has taken the lead in innovating a China-ASEAN cross-border e-commerce talent training model by building a cross-border e-commerce talent training system and a cross-border e-commerce ecological service chain in Guangxi.
The area relies on the national offshore innovation and entrepreneurship base for overseas talents to carry out cross-border e-commerce talent exchange activities, and cooperates with domestic universities to recruit international students.
It has established the national offshore talent innovation and entrepreneurship base, and is a distinctive place for overseas talents to develop the cross-border e-commerce industry.
It promotes cooperation between schools and enterprises and establishes cross-border e-commerce industry disciplines in universities. It hosts the Southeast Asia cross-border livestreaming talent competition to drive the development of the cross-border e-commerce industry chain.
It has introduced many local characteristic enterprises in Guangxi to create a brand image of Guangxi. It helps high-quality Chinese science and technology brands enter the ASEAN market through well-known overseas platforms such as Lazada and TikTok.
From January to October 2021, the Nanning cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone completed a total of 78.75 million cross-border e-commerce import and export orders, with a transaction volume of 5.97 billion yuan ($93.17 million), which is a year-on-year increase of 266.7 percent.
