On April 23, Gao Min, president of the Hainan Wellness Tourism Association (HWTA), and his entourage visited Hainan Xikang Yunshe, a wellness resort hotel, to attend the opening ceremony of the Hainan Wellness Resorts Demonstration Base, and to meet with Li Yong, the general manager of the hotel.

It is reported that this is the first health hotel demonstration base opening ceremony held by the Hainan Wellness Tourism Association since its establishment last November.

Gao said that as the first high-end resort hotel invested and built by Neusoft Group with the theme of wellness, Xikang Yunshe is a new way of integrating tourism and psychological nutrition. It breaks the traditional hotel management model and fills the gap in similar industries in Hainan province.

As the first health resort hotel in Hainan to be listed as a demonstration site, Xikang Yunshe closely integrates health preservation with tourism and vacations, with the goal of improving lifestyles and comprehensive health promotion. It can not only attract tourists at home and abroad, but can also provide a healthy hotel model for other countries to learn from, and help the development and progress of Healthy China.

The Hainan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism proposed to build Hainan into a health resort as its strategic goal and target high-end wellness during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25).

The establishment of the first demonstration base also marks a new stage in the construction of the health and tourism ecosphere around Hainan Island.

In the next step, the association will carry out selection activities for the health and wellness industry across the province, and select highly distinctive and competitive enterprises and products.

The HWTA will promote the construction of demonstration bases around the island with high-end internationalization and set up a wellness industrial park to help the government optimize the layout of the industry.

As a representative of the wellness industry in Hainan, the association actively responds to the calls of the central government, accelerates the transformation of ideas, effectively improves public health literacy, and takes the lead in the formation of a healthier lifestyle in Hainan, making Hainan a veritable "wellness paradise".
