Ding Shuxue
Ding Shuxue is a professor and PhD instructor.
Prof. Ding was enrolled in Tianjin Municipal Thousand Talents Program (Innovation Short-term) in 2014 and has been a conjunctive chair professor and PhD instructor of College of Electronic Information and Optical Engineering of Nankai University since 2015.
He received a doctor's degree in Physics from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in 1996. He was a tenured professor of the University of Aizu, dean of Cognitive Science Research Laboratory, head of Division of Computer Science, and member of the University Education and Research Review Committee.
For years, he was a conjunctive guest researcher at Institute of Physical and Chemical Research. He is a committee member and initiator of Awareness Computing Technical Committee of the IEEE Systems, Man & Cybernetics Society. In March 2019, he returned to China to work full-time as dean of School of Artificial Intelligence of Guilin University of Electronic Technology.
His interests of research include artificial intelligence, machine learning, signal and image processing, neural computing, big data, information communication, sensor and array antenna, and MIMO system.
He presided over 4 projects of JSPS (equivalent to China's NSFC). He has published 131 papers, including 78 on academic journals, of which 58 were published in SCI journals, and 20 in IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, and other key IEEE journals. He has published 53 global conference papers, mostly were IEEE-sponsored meetings. He was awarded the Best Paper Award by the 2015 IEEE International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (DSP 2015, July 21-24, 2015, Singapore).
